MYSORE :-Majestic Mysore , the city of palaces and park is the ‘cultural capital' of Karnataka. The historical town has legendary origins and its name is said to be derived from the word “Mahishasurana Ooru”, which means the town of Mahishasura . MUNNAR:- Munnar literally means three rivers and in fact, has three of them- Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala-meeting at the heart of town. This place is famous for the Neelakkurunji (Strobilanthus), the unique plant that blooms only once in twelve years and paints the entire hill stope blue. The small gradient turned steep- we were climbing one of the highest hills in southern India . Climate:-Very heavy monsoons from June to September. Annualrainfall 270cm When to go: Munnar is a presently cool and refreshing place to visit at most times of year. Winters are cooold!. It is land with rolling hills, carpeted with green tea.
Visited at ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK :- The whole atmosphere was exciting and stimulating. The majesty of nature truly humbled us. The average height of the region is round 1940 Mtr. Above MSL. In front of us was the towering Aneimudi; being on the top of that hill means being 8,841 feet closer to heaven. The hills surrounding Munnar are home for one of the worlds' rarest mountain goats, Nilgiri tahr. The tropical forests are inhabited by elephants, tigers, deer and gaur (bison) Munnar is a birdwatcher delight with a variety of birds that are supported by the every green vegetation of the region.
MATTUPPETTI:- Mattuppetti is a famous for the Indo-Swiss Dairy Farm project of cattle farming and research. There is a small dam that collects water poured in by the small brooks, streams and rivulets from the surrounding hills. The water from those perennial sources is used to produce electricity during summer and ECCO POINT , KUNDALA DAM , TOP STATION, MARAYOOR-This is one of the famous of sandal woods , and POTHENMEDU VIEW POINT, HYDEL PARK , TEA MUSIEUM.

KOTTAYAM:- Kottayam town, the headquarters of this district is located on the foothills of the Western Ghats . The name Trichur derives from ‘Thrishivaperur' or the place with ‘Lord Shiva's name'. Trichur rose in importance due, it is believed, to Raja Rama Varma, popularly known as ‘Sakthan Thampuran' who ascended the throne of Kochi in 1790.This temple features low, tiled roofs, an abundance of woodwork, and the famous ‘koothambalam' or theatre hall with sloping roofs of metal plates within which is performed the dramatic art form ‘chakiar koothu'. GURUVAYUR:- Located 29 kg north-west of Thrissur District in God's Own Kerala, Guruvayur is one of the most importance pilgrimage centers of South India . Their one of the famous Sri Krishna Temple situated .The temple was created by Guru- the preceptor of the Gods and Vayu- the God of winds. The eastern and western nada are the entrance to the shrine. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple ((Open: 03.00 am-01.00 pm & 04.30-08.30 pm )) Guruvayoor is also called the Bhoolokavaikunta-the haven on Earth. PUNNATHOORKOTTA:- Punnathoorkotta which is 2km from Guruvayur, is a the largest elephant park in the world with over 60 elephants.

ATHIRAPILLY VAZHACHAL ATERFALLS -Athirappalli and Vazhachal, the two scenic and popular waterfalls on the edge of the Sholayar forest ranges. The Athirappalli Falls joints the Chalakudy river after plummeting down a drop of 80 feet. Vazhachal is pert of the Chalakudy river. Both the waterfalls, their cool, misty waters cascading down in the backdrop of thick green forest and which the road from Kozhikode ascends the Wayanad plateau over the mind boggling bends and ridges, are the highest locations of Wayanad district.
CHERUTHURUTHI:- The Kerala Kalamandalam established by the Poet Sri. Vallathol Narayana Menon in 1930, to impact training in traditional art forms like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Thullal and folk dances is located here. Special performances can also be arranged on request.
PALAKKAD:- Palakkad Fort:- The old granite fort situated in the very heart of Palakkad town is one of the best preserve in Kerala. It was built by Hyder Ali of Mysore in 1766.
